Saudi Arabia imported nearly 1.9 million vehicles over the past two years, with China becoming the Kingdom’s largest vehicle supplier, according to data from the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority. Vehicle imports reached approximately 942,118 units in 2024 and 959,403 units in 2025. Japan ranked second, followed by India, Thailand, and South Korea, while U.S. vehicle imports continued to decline. As one of the world’s top 20 automotive markets, Saudi Arabia is simultaneously advancing local manufacturing through the King Salman Automotive Cluster, including projects led by Ceer and Lucid Motors, to strengthen domestic production and reduce import dependence.
