The Saudi Export Development Authority “Saudi Exports” announced the launch of the institutional transformation strategy for the authority, through which it aims to move to a new stage to keep pace with the goals of Vision 2030 in integration with a number of relevant government agencies in diversifying the local economy by promoting Saudi non-oil exports, where the authority’s strategy will work The new plan aims to raise the value of non-oil exports from 16% to 50% of non-oil GDP by 2030, according to the Kingdom’s ambitious vision.

Faisal Al-Baddah, Secretary-General of the Saudi Export Development Authority, stated that the institutional transformation of the authority is a qualitative road map whose paths and plans are in line with the developmental visions of the national economy from the leadership and aims to achieve a real partnership with the private sector in accordance with Vision 2030 and exporters specifically by improving the export environment and developing capabilities Exporters, improving their competitiveness in the markets and raising their readiness to face global challenges, which was achieved tangibly thanks to a series of continuous efforts that the authority worked on and the efforts of all its employees, the most prominent of which was cooperation with the relevant authorities to solve the obstacles of the export environment in the Kingdom, where more than 160 obstacles were resolved during 2021 and a contract 28 workshops and training program for exporters.

He added that the Saudi Export Stimulus Program was launched, which encourages and assists Saudi companies to build and enhance their competitive capabilities and expand their global reach, in addition to the “Made in Saudi Arabia” program, which contributed to creating a unified identity for Saudi exports and enhancing their reliability. He explained that the “Saudi Export Stimulus Program” provides 9 incentives compatible with the Kingdom’s commitments in the World Trade Organization, benefiting 220 exporting companies during 2021, while the “Made in Saudi Arabia” program, one of the programs emanating from the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program, has attracted 1,200 companies. locally since its launch, and the introduction of its products to a large number of global markets.

It is noteworthy that the stage of “institutional transformation” launched by “Saudi Exports” comes at a time when Saudi non-oil exports witnessed a distinguished performance for them, as Saudi non-oil exports recorded an estimated increase of 34% during the period from the beginning of 2021 until the third quarter, compared to the same period from Among the top exporting sectors were the petrochemicals sector, the building materials sector, and the vehicles and spare parts sector.
