Saudi-China relations have evolved into a comprehensive strategic partnership, says Saudi-Chinese Business Council member Mashael bin Saedan. Speaking ahead of the China-Arab States Expo in Ningxia, she described the alliance as “strategic integration,” not temporary cooperation. The council, founded in 2003, now unites 1,500 firms across real estate, energy, tech, and finance. Chinese companies are praised for speed, efficiency, and competitive costs, raising Saudi standards while aligning with Vision 2030 and the Belt and Road Initiative. China leads greenfield FDI into Saudi Arabia, focusing on batteries, solar, and wind, creating jobs and transferring technology. Bilateral trade exceeds USD 100 billion annually, with future opportunities in green hydrogen, smart cities, and halal food.
