Saudi’s King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) has signed an MoU with State Grid Corporation of China and Beijing Zhongke Gree Micro Technology to establish a microchip design and manufacturing center. The cooperation reinforces the efforts of the Saudi Semiconductor Program, which is dedicated to microchip design and localization.
