China’s COOEC (Offshore Oil Engineering Company) has successfully installed an offshore jacket at Saudi Aramco’s Abu Safah offshore oilfield, marking a major milestone in the development project. The facility is part of Aramco’s Contract Release Purchase Order (CRPO) 149, which was awarded to COOEC in 2024, reflecting China’s growing presence in Saudi Arabia’s upstream oil and gas sector.
