China Railway Construction Corporation, the second largest construction and engineering company in the world, and Sama Construction Company, a Saudi construction company, won the bid to build the Jeddah Central stadium in Saudi Arabia. The stadium is scheduled to begin construction in February 2024 and slated to be completed by 2026. It is planned as the venue for Saudi Arabia’s 2034 World Cup. Previously, China Railway Construction Corporation built Qatar’s World Cup Lusail stadium.
