Saudi oil giant Saudi Aramco has entered into a cooperation agreement with US-based GCT Semiconductor Holding, a leading designer and supplier of advanced 5G and 4G semiconductor solutions, to further develop the 4G/5G ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Aramco is designing and developing chips and modules specifically designed for LTE, 5G, and NTN spectrum networks in order to support the localization of wireless end-user devices and the manufacturing of the Internet of Things throughout the Kingdom.
