

As part of Riyadh Disputes Week 2026, the official event titled “The Alternative Dispute Resolution Paths in the GCC Countries and Their Possible Integration with China” was successfully held in Riyadh. The event was jointly hosted by the Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC) and the Saudi Chinese Business Council (SCBC).
The conference brought together arbitration institutions, legal professionals, and business representatives from the GCC region and China to discuss developments in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and cross-border cooperation. The agenda included an opening address, the MoU signing ceremony between SHIAC and SCCA, a panel discussion on GCC–China dispute resolution practices, and closing remarks.
Distinguished speakers shared insights on arbitration frameworks, institutional cooperation, and practical considerations for resolving cross-border commercial disputes. The event provided a valuable platform for dialogue and reinforced the importance of ADR mechanisms in supporting China–GCC trade and investment.
