The Al Shuaibah Solar PV Project, the largest photovoltaic project in the Middle East, has officially obtained the initial commercial operation certificate issued by the owner. This milestone marks the full commercial operation of the project’s 2.6GW capacity. Constructed by China Energy Engineering, the project is situated approximately 80 kilometers south of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, comprising two sub-projects, namely ASB1 and ASB2. The project employs the world’s most advanced N-type bifacial photovoltaic modules and flat single-axis automatic tracking brackets, which can accurately and maximize the absorption of sunlight energy and realize unmanned operation.
