China State Construction Engineering has secured a contract for Phase II of the Diriyah Opera House project in Saudi Arabia. This project is a cornerstone of reviving the historic city of Diriyah. The project encompasses the Diriyah Royal Opera House and its ancillary facilities, the Langham Hotel, mixed-use residential spaces, and public areas. With a total construction area of 129,559 square meters and an estimated construction cost of around 5.1 billion Saudi riyals, the project is set to become Saudi Arabia’s first world-class opera house complex upon completion. It will play a significant role in advancing Saudi Arabia’s “Vision 2030” cultural transformation strategy.
