ACWA Power, a Saudi electric power generation company, has established a global innovation center in Shanghai and was listed as one of the first Group Open Innovation (GOI) centers in the city this year. The Global Innovation Center will focus on photovoltaic energy, wind energy, energy storage, green hydrogen energy, and seawater desalination, to create three platforms: the “Green Energy Innovation Incubator,” the “Green Energy Laboratory,” and the “Green Energy Demonstration Center.” The center seeks to empower partners and startups in this field by building a green energy innovation ecosystem that covers green technology research and development, testing, manufacturing, and application.
