On April 10, Chinese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Chang Hua, stated in an interview with Al Arabiya TV that the US tariff policy has severely disrupted economic and trade cooperation between China and the US, and has brought uncertainty to the global economy. The Chinese government has taken firm and effective measures in response and is confident and capable of dealing with the adverse effects. In recent years, China has strengthened economic and trade cooperation with the Middle East, Latin America and Africa, emerging markets have become an important force in foreign trade growth for China. China’s “Belt and Road” initiative and Saudi Arabia’s “Vision 2030” have been deeply integrated. The Ambassador said that China and Saudi Arabia will achieve more cooperations in key areas such as the green energy, digital economy and artificial intelligence in the future.
