China’s ZOE Energy Storage has signed a joint venture with a Saudi partner to build a battery manufacturing facility in the kingdom. The 150-acre plant, built to European standards, will be developed in two phases — starting with 6GWh capacity by Q1 2027, scaling up to 18GWh. It will be ZOE’s second overseas base after Hungary. The project aligns with Saudi Vision 2030’s targets of 130GW renewable energy and 48GWh of energy storage.
