China’s Zhejiang Hailiang to Launch $566M Copper JV in Saudi Arabia

China’s Zhejiang Hailiang will partner with Rawas National Investment Holding to establish a $566 million copper processing joint venture in Saudi Arabia, marking a significant step in China–Saudi industrial cooperation. Located at Dammam Port, the project will have an annual capacity of 150,000 tonnes across multiple copper products. The initiative leverages Saudi Arabia’s resource advantages and competitive energy costs, while supporting regional supply chain integration. It is expected to enhance Hailiang’s global footprint and contribute to the Kingdom’s industrial diversification and economic development goals.
