The head of the Saudi-Chinese Business Council, Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan confirmed that the import movement from China was not affected by the Corona pandemic, as the percentage of exports and imports between the two countries reached 4.73% in the first quarter of 2020, and that the increase in imports from China will increase in the coming period due to the consumption needs of the Ramadan season and feasts.
Al-Ajlan added that the Saudi-Chinese Business Council has a prominent role in developing trade relations between the two countries and preparing studies to attract Chinese investments that include required and important sectors in the Kingdom.
Statistics show the growth of trade volume between the Kingdom and China in 2019 by 23.2% to reach $ 78.04 billion, and the balance of Chinese investment in the Kingdom amounts to $ 2.59 billion until the end of 2018.
