The Decline in China’s Producer Price Index Narrowed in November

Data from the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics showed that the producer price index, which is specialized in measuring the costs of goods at the factory gate, decreased by (1.5%) on an annual basis last November, amid a steady recovery in industrial activities, thus the index retreated from a decrease of (2.1%) recorded in Last October.

The “Chinese Statistics” indicated that the producer price index rose by (0.5%) on a monthly basis during the past month, after it decreased in the first 11 months by an average of 2% compared to the same period last year.

For her part, Dong Li Guan, a statistician with the Chinese Bureau of Statistics, said that market demand continued to improve in November with the rise in industrial product prices.
