After a virtual meeting between senior energy officials of China and Saudi Arabia, the two countries agreed to enhance energy cooperation, maintain international oil market stability, and jointly address risks and challenges. Refining projects, chemical integration, renewable energy, and hydrogen energy were indicated as areas for further cooperation. According to the statement, Saudi Arabia would like to take advantage of its geographical advantages linking the three continents to build a regional hub for Chinese manufacturers to enhance cooperation in the energy supply chain.
