China Tourism Academy and Select Holding issued the first Welcome Chinese Certification in the MENA region to the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. The accreditation recognizes that the airport has achieved standards developed by the two institutions in relation to meeting the needs of Chinese travelers. Saudia, the national carrier formerly known as Saudi Arabian Airlines, will launch direct flights between Beijing and both Riyadh and Jeddah at the start of August. At present, the airline operates direct flights from Guangzhou to Riyadh and Jeddah.
