MCIT China Visit Accelerates Innovation and Technology Collaboration Between Saudi Arabia and China

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology tour in Saudi Arabia, Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, who led a high-level official delegation to China, included visits to companies such as Huawei, Meituan, and other Chinese companies working in aviation technologies. The visit aimed to promote progress in investment and knowledge exchange regarding technical innovation between the two countries.

The conclusion of 11 memorandums of understanding between the Saudi-Chinese Entrepreneurs Association and companies such as Aerosim Hong Kong Limited, D-Ingrive Limited, and XtalPi is one of the notable achievements during the visit.

The visiting delegation witnessed an evening in the Chinese capital, Beijing, under the title “Saudi Night”, jointly organized by the Saudi Ministry of Communications and “EWTB Arabia Capital”. The evening highlighted the strength of Sino-Saudi relations and ways for the two countries to continue their endeavors to join efforts to boost economic growth. The activities of this evening were attended by Minister Al-Sawaha, Engineer Saleh Al-Khabti, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Investment for Investment Operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Abdul Rahman Al-Harbi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to China, as well as more than 100 officials from prominent Chinese companies in various sectors.
