Issuance of a joint statement at the conclusion of the Saudi-Chinese summit

Today, a joint statement was issued at the conclusion of the Saudi-Chinese summit, which reads as follows:
At the gracious invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and within the framework of strengthening strategic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping paid a state visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the period 13 Jumada Al-Awwal 15, 1444 AH, corresponding to the period 7-9 December 2022 AD.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received His Excellency Chinese President Xi Jinping. An official session of talks was held between the two sides, during which an exchange occurred. Views on ways to consolidate and develop comprehensive strategic partnership relations between the Kingdom and China and all international and regional issues of common concern.

The two sides expressed their satisfaction with the distinguished stages of bilateral relations during the past three decades. They stressed the importance of continuing joint work in all fields, deepening relations within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, and reaching new and promising horizons.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Chinese President Xi Jinping signed the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between the Kingdom and the People’s Republic of China.

The two sides praised what has been achieved since the visit of His Excellency Chinese President Xi Jinping to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in January 2016 and the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
