Last week, Iraq signed an agreement to explore and exploit six oil and gas fields with three companies, including two Chinese companies. Geo Jaid Oil Company will acquire two oil fields in eastern and southern Iraq, while United Energy will explore an oil field in the south. A UAE-based company is responsible for the other three fields.
