In February 2023, Riyadh will host the 44th International Conference on Energy Economics, which will be held for the first time in the Middle East, and organized by the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center “KAPSARC” in cooperation with the Saudi Energy Economics Association from 13 to 17 Rajab 1444 corresponding to 4-8 February 2023.
The conference will be held under the slogan “Paths to a Clean, Stable and Sustainable Energy Future” in partnership with the World Association for Energy Economics. The conference is a global gathering of experts and specialists to shed light on traditional and renewable energy issues, environmental challenges, and the stability of energy markets.
The conference will address 7 topics, including the economy and diversification of the energy mix, development and climate change, energy transformations and paths, investment and financing in energy, means and methods of mobility and technology, industrial efficiency and competitiveness, fluctuations in the energy market and the security of its supplies.
The conference annually attracts 500 participants from around the world, including government officials, opinion leaders, representatives of international and industry organizations, academics, and students. The World Association for Energy Economics was established in 1977 to promote an understanding of energy economics and its practical applications.
