{"id":5725,"date":"2022-10-04T07:21:45","date_gmt":"2022-10-04T07:21:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/scbcouncil.com\/?p=5725"},"modified":"2022-10-04T07:21:50","modified_gmt":"2022-10-04T07:21:50","slug":"saudi-arabia-achieves-the-highest-historical-score-in-the-united-nations-e-government-development-index","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scbcouncil.com\/en\/saudi-arabia-achieves-the-highest-historical-score-in-the-united-nations-e-government-development-index\/","title":{"rendered":"Saudi Arabia achieves the highest historical score in the United Nations e-Government Development Index"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Kingdom achieved its highest historical result in the e-government development index issued by the United Nations since its launch more than 20 years ago, as it ranked 31st this year 2022, compared to 43rd place in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Kingdom came among the best-developed countries in the world in the first sub-index of electronic services within 193 countries, achieving 32nd place with 82% this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results of the index were announced today on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. This index is considered the most important international indicator that measures the extent of the development of digital governments in the areas of electronic services, communications, infrastructure, and human capital worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Kingdom came among the best countries in the world in terms of providing government services information and providing and sharing government data open to citizens and business sectors by 100%.<br>The report also praised the maturity of government digital organizations, reaching 96%, and the quality of digital specifications for government services was distinguished by 94%, while the availability and spread of digital government services reached 81%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It advanced 23 places globally in participation and electronic consultations directed at individuals and business sectors to explore their views on legislation and regulations with economic and social impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The report praised the Kingdom&#8217;s exceptional performance in all areas of e-government development, as it was the most advanced among similar countries economically and socially, and the city of Riyadh ranked fourth in the world in the use of technology and its applications within the &#8220;very high range&#8221; among 193 cities around the world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Kingdom achieved its highest historical result in the e-government development index issued by the United Nations since its launch more than 20 years ago, as it ranked 31st this year 2022, compared to 43rd place in 2020.
