Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, will sponsor the announcement ceremony for the “Prince Mohammed bin Salman” award for cultural cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China, tomorrow, Thursday, at the King Abdulaziz Public Library in Beijing, in the presence of a group of cultural icons from the two countries.
The award aims to strengthen cultural and scientific relations and support distinguished research for students teaching Arabic Language in Chinese universities, in addition to supporting translation between Arabic and Chinese languages and supporting arts, literature, and knowledge.
The King Abdulaziz Public Library organizes the award annually and includes five main branches, each award value of $ 100,000. They are the award for the best book translated from Arabic into the Chinese language, the prize for the best invention or scientific research presented in universities and colleges of technical sciences in China, the award for the best graduation research presented by students studying in Arabic in Chinese universities, the prize for the best artistic and creative work during the year in Photography, drawing, and design, and the prize for the Personality of the Year from both countries for those who made an effort to serve the culture and knowledge.
The award is a reflection of the cultural renaissance in the Kingdom with the support and leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and under the umbrella of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which allocated the development of the culture sector with a space of its interest to transform it into an attractive and influential element internally and externally.
