The Saudi Tourism Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with Alibaba Cloud, the technical arm of the global Alibaba Group, to provide inspiring and smooth tourism experiences for visitors to the Kingdom from China and to promote Saudi Arabia as a tourist destination in the Chinese market. This step comes within the framework of the authority’s strategy to employ the latest cloud storage technologies and services and integrated digital processing and advanced.
The CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority, Fahd Hamid Al-Din, confirmed that they are continuing their efforts to promote tourism in the Kingdom by providing more offers and distinctive tourism experiences for visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom while continuing to develop an integrated digital infrastructure to give additional value and a competitive advantage for national tourism.
He explained that the recovery of the global tourism sector requires a renewed and different way of thinking to overcome the challenges exacerbated by the pandemic, and we look forward through this partnership to open new horizons that will place the Kingdom at the forefront of the leading countries in developing the tourism system worldwide.
