Amin Nasser, President and CEO of Saudi Aramco, stated at the China Development Forum that Aramco is working on three main strategies to support China’s energy priorities. First: Expanding the company’s oil production capacity by one million barrels per day to 13 million barrels by 2027. And second, to reduce the already low carbon intensity of oil production, as well as the methane intensity. And third, adding lower carbon energy to the company’s business portfolio, particularly blue hydrogen, blue ammonia, electric fuels, and renewables, as well as assessing entry into LNG. In this regard, Al-Nasser said, “In other words, we want to be a comprehensive source of energy and chemicals for China’s long-term energy security and high-quality development in China.”
