3 decades of relationships: Saudi and Chinese experts discuss strengthening the cooperation

The Center for Research and Knowledge Communication, in cooperation with the China-Arab Studies Center for Reform and Development of the Shanghai University of International Studies, organized a joint virtual seminar marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and China.

The symposium was titled “Reviewing the Past and Looking to the Future”, with the participation of the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Beijing and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Riyadh.

The director of the symposium, Executive Director of the China-Arab Studies Center for Reform and Development, Professor Wang Guangda, talked about this occasion and its establishment, which is of interest to the two countries and calls for pausing and recalling many important and bright historical joints in their relations.

The opening session of the symposium began, in which the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the People’s Republic of China, Turki bin Muhammad Al-Madhi, and the Ambassador of China-Arab Cooperation Forum Affairs at the Chinese Foreign Ministry, former Ambassador to the Kingdom Li Chengwen, participated.
